# Translation Ayah
1 By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- وَالسَّمَاء وَالطَّارِقِ
2 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ
3 It is the shining star -- النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
4 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ
5 Let man reflect on what he was created from. فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
6 He was created from spurting fluid, خُلِقَ مِن مَّاء دَافِقٍ
7 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ
8 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ
9 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ
10 [man] will have no power, and no helper. فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
11 By the heavens, ever-revolving, وَالسَّمَاء ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ
12 by the earth cracking open with new growth. وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ
13 It is surely a decisive utterance; إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ
14 and is not to be taken lightly. وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ
15 They are planning a scheme, إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
16 and so am I: وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
17 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا
