# Translation Ayah
1 By the heaven, and by the nightly visitor وَالسَّمَاء وَالطَّارِقِ
2 (and what will show you what is the nightly visitor? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ
3 It is the brilliant star): النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
4 there is a guard over every soul. إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ
5 So let man consider from what he was created. فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
6 He was created from an effusing fluid خُلِقَ مِن مَّاء دَافِقٍ
7 which issues from between the loins and the breast-bones. يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ
8 Indeed He is able to bring him back [after death], إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ
9 on the day when the secrets are examined يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ
10 and he shall have neither power nor helper. فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
11 By the resurgent heaven, وَالسَّمَاء ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ
12 and by the furrowed earth: وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ
13 it is indeed a conclusive discourse, إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ
14 and not a jest. وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ
15 Indeed they are devising a stratagem, إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
16 and I [too] am devising a plan. وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
17 So respite the faithless; give them a gentle respite. فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا
