# Translation Ayah
1 Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
2 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ
3 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
4 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. كَلَّا لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ
5 And what do you know what the Crusher is? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ
6 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ
7 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ
8 Verily it will close in upon them, إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ
9 in outstretched columns. فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ
