# Translation Ayah
1 Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى
2 who created and shaped, الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى
3 who determined and guided, وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَى
4 who brought forth the pasturage وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَى
5 then made it a blackening wrack. فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاء أَحْوَى
6 We shall make thee recite, to forget not سَنُقْرِؤُكَ فَلَا تَنسَى
7 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. إِلَّا مَا شَاء اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَى
8 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَى
9 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى
10 and he who fears shall remember, سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَى
11 but the most wretched shall flout it, وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى
12 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَى
13 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَى
14 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّى
15 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى
16 Nay, but you prefer the present life; بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
17 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
18 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى
19 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى
