# Translation Ayah
1 By the glorious morning light; وَالضُّحَى
2 and by the night when it darkens, وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى
3 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى
4 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى
5 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى
6 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَى
7 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَى
8 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَى
9 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
10 and do not chide the one who asks for help; وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
11 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
