# Translation Ayah
1 By the winds sent forth in swift succession, وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
2 and then storming on with a tempest's force, فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
3 and the rain-spreading winds, وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
4 separating one from another, فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
5 by those who bring down the reminder, فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
6 to excuse some and warn others: عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
7 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ
8 When the stars lose their light, فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
9 and when the sky is rent asunder, وَإِذَا السَّمَاء فُرِجَتْ
10 and when the mountains crumble into dust وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
11 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
12 for what Day has this been appointed? لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
13 For the Day of Decision. لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
14 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
15 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
16 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
17 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ
18 thus do We deal with the culprits. كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
19 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
20 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاء مَّهِينٍ
21 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
22 for an appointed term? إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
23 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ
24 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
25 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
26 for the living and the dead? أَحْيَاء وَأَمْوَاتًا
27 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاء فُرَاتًا
28 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
29 Proceed to that which you denied. انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
30 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: انطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
31 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
32 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
33 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
34 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
35 On that Day they will be speechless, هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
36 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
37 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
38 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ
39 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
40 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
41 The righteous shall dwell amidst cool shades and fountains, إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
42 and shall have fruits such as they desire; وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
43 [They will be told], "Eat and drink with relish in return for what you did [in life]: كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
44 this is how We reward those who do good." إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ
45 [But] woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
46 Eat [your fill] and enjoy your life for a little while, O you who are lost in sin. كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
47 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
48 When they are bidden to bow down, they do not bow down. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
49 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
50 In which word then, after this, will they believe? فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
