# Translation Ayah
1 May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
2 May he too perish! مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
3 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. سَيَصْلَى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
4 He will suffer in a blazing fire وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ
5 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ
