By those [angels] who wrest [the soul] violently, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079001.mp3
|
2 |
by those who draw [it] out gently, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079002.mp3
|
3 |
by those who swim smoothly, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079003.mp3
|
4 |
by those who, racing, take the lead, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079004.mp3
|
5 |
by those who direct the affairs [of creatures]: |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079005.mp3
|
6 |
the day when the Quaker quakes |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079006.mp3
|
7 |
and is followed by the Successor, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079007.mp3
|
8 |
hearts will be trembling on that day, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079008.mp3
|
9 |
bearing a humbled look. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079009.mp3
|
10 |
They will say, ‘Are we being returned to our earlier state? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079010.mp3
|
11 |
What, even after we have been decayed bones?!’ |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079011.mp3
|
12 |
They will say, ‘This is, then, a ruinous return!’ |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079012.mp3
|
13 |
Yet it will be only a single shout, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079013.mp3
|
14 |
and behold, they will be awake. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079014.mp3
|
15 |
Did you receive the story of Moses, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079015.mp3
|
16 |
when his Lord called out to him in the holy valley of Tuwa? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079016.mp3
|
17 |
[And said,] ‘Go to Pharaoh, for indeed he has rebelled, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079017.mp3
|
18 |
and say, ‘‘Would you purify yourself? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079018.mp3
|
19 |
I will guide you to your Lord, that you may fear [Him]?’’ ’ |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079019.mp3
|
20 |
Then he showed him the greatest sign. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079020.mp3
|
21 |
But he denied, and disobeyed. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079021.mp3
|
22 |
Then he turned back, walking swiftly, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079022.mp3
|
23 |
and gathered [the people] and proclaimed, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079023.mp3
|
24 |
saying, ‘I am your exalted lord!’ |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079024.mp3
|
25 |
So Allah seized him with the punishment of this life and the Hereafter. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079025.mp3
|
26 |
There is indeed a moral in that for someone who fears! |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079026.mp3
|
27 |
Is your creation more prodigious or that of the heaven He has built? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079027.mp3
|
28 |
He raised its vault and fashioned it, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079028.mp3
|
29 |
and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079029.mp3
|
30 |
Thereafter He spread out the earth, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079030.mp3
|
31 |
brought forth from it its water and pastures, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079031.mp3
|
32 |
setting firm the mountains, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079032.mp3
|
33 |
as a [place of] sustenance for you and your livestock. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079033.mp3
|
34 |
When the Greatest Catastrophe befalls |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079034.mp3
|
35 |
—the day when man will remember his endeavours |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079035.mp3
|
36 |
and hell is brought into view for those who can see— |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079036.mp3
|
37 |
as for him who has been rebellious |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079037.mp3
|
38 |
and preferred the life of this world, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079038.mp3
|
39 |
his refuge will indeed be hell. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079039.mp3
|
40 |
But as for him who is awed to stand before his Lord and restrains his soul from [following] desires, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079040.mp3
|
41 |
his refuge will indeed be paradise. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079041.mp3
|
42 |
They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it set in, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079042.mp3
|
43 |
considering your frequent mention of it?” |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079043.mp3
|
44 |
Its outcome is with your Lord. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079044.mp3
|
45 |
You are only a warner for those who are afraid it. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079045.mp3
|
46 |
The day they see it, it shall be as if they had not stayed [in the world] except for an evening or forenoon. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/079046.mp3
|
