# Translation Ayah
1 Woe to every scandal-monger and slanderer, وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
2 who amasses wealth and counts it over. الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ
3 He supposes his wealth will make him immortal! يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
4 No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crusher. كَلَّا لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ
5 And what will show you what is the Crusher? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ
6 [It is] the fire of Allah, set ablaze, نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ
7 which will overspread the hearts. الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ
8 Indeed it will close in upon them إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ
9 in outstretched columns. فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ
