A beseecher besought the visitation of chastisement, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070001.mp3
|
2 |
(a chastisement meant) for the unbelievers, one which none can avert; |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070002.mp3
|
3 |
a chastisement from Allah, the Lord of the ascending steps, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070003.mp3
|
4 |
by which the angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in one Day the duration of which is fifty thousand years. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070004.mp3
|
5 |
So, (O Prophet), persevere with gracious perseverance. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070005.mp3
|
6 |
Verily they think that the chastisement is far off, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070006.mp3
|
7 |
while We think that it is near at hand. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070007.mp3
|
8 |
It shall befall on a Day whereon the sky will become like molten brass, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070008.mp3
|
9 |
and the mountains will become like dyed tufts of wool, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070009.mp3
|
10 |
and no bosom friend will enquire about any of his bosom friends |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070010.mp3
|
11 |
although they shall be within sight of one another. The guilty one would fain ransom himself from the torment of that Day by offering his children, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070011.mp3
|
12 |
and his spouse and his brother, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070012.mp3
|
13 |
and his kinsfolk who had stood by him, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070013.mp3
|
14 |
and all persons of the earth, if only he could thus save himself. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070014.mp3
|
15 |
By no means! It will be the fierce flame |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070015.mp3
|
16 |
that will strip off the scalp. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070016.mp3
|
17 |
It shall insistently summon him who turned his back and retreated, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070017.mp3
|
18 |
and amassed wealth and covetously hoarded it. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070018.mp3
|
19 |
Verily man is impatient by nature: |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070019.mp3
|
20 |
bewailing when evil befalls him, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070020.mp3
|
21 |
and tight-fisted when good fortune visits him, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070021.mp3
|
22 |
except those that pray, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070022.mp3
|
23 |
and are constant in their Prayer; |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070023.mp3
|
24 |
and those in whose wealth there is a known right |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070024.mp3
|
25 |
for those that ask and those that are dispossessed, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070025.mp3
|
26 |
those who firmly believe in the Day of Recompense, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070026.mp3
|
27 |
and fear the chastisement of their Lord – |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070027.mp3
|
28 |
surely the chastisement of their Lord is a thing none can feel secure from – |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070028.mp3
|
29 |
and those who guard their private parts, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070029.mp3
|
30 |
except in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands possess, for in regard to them they are not reproachable, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070030.mp3
|
31 |
but any who seeks to go beyond that, it is indeed they who are the transgressors, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070031.mp3
|
32 |
and those who fulfil their trusts and their covenants, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070032.mp3
|
33 |
and those who are upright in their testimonies; |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070033.mp3
|
34 |
and who take due care of their Prayer: |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070034.mp3
|
35 |
all these shall live honourably in the Gardens. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070035.mp3
|
36 |
But what is the matter with the unbelievers who are hurrying towards you |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070036.mp3
|
37 |
in crowds, both on the right and on the left? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070037.mp3
|
38 |
Does everyone of them wish to enter the Garden of Bliss? |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070038.mp3
|
39 |
By no means! They know that which We have created them from. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070039.mp3
|
40 |
I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We have the power |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070040.mp3
|
41 |
to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070041.mp3
|
42 |
So leave them to engage in vain talk and to amuse themselves until they come face to face with the Day which they are promised, |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070042.mp3
|
43 |
the Day on which they will hastily come forth from their graves, as though they were hurrying on to the altars of their deities. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070043.mp3
|
44 |
Their eyes will be downcast and disgrace will overwhelm them. Such is the Day that they were promised. |
/content/ayah/audio/hudhaify/070044.mp3
|
