# Translation Ayah
1 WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, إِذَا السَّمَاء انفَطَرَتْ
2 And the stars dispersed, وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انتَثَرَتْ
3 When the oceans begin to flow, وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
4 When the graves are overturned, وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
5 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
6 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ
7 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
8 Shaping you into any form He pleased? فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاء رَكَّبَكَ
9 Even then you deny the Judgement. كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ
10 Surely there are guardians over you, وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ
11 Illustrious scribes كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ
12 Who know what you do. يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
13 The pious will surely be in heaven, إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
14 The wicked certainly in Hell: وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
15 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
16 And will not be removed from it. وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ
17 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
18 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
19 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ
